Prof. Hesheng Wang (IEEE Senior Member)

Biography:
Dr. Hesheng Wang is currently a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Automation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is also awarded the National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Fund. He graduated from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2002, obtained master and doctor degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004 and 2007, and worked as a postdoctoral research assistant from the Chinese University of Hong Kong from 2007 to 2009.
Professor Wang won the Best Student Conference Paper of the International Integrated Technology Conference in 2007, won the Best Paper of the 8th World Intelligent Control and Automation Conference SUPCON in 2010, the Best Student Conference Paper of the International Real-Time Computing and Robot Conference in 2015, the Best Conference Paper of International Wearable Sensor and Robot Conference. In 2010, he was awarded the SMC-Morning Star Young Scholar C category of SJTU, and was awarded the SMC-Morning Star Young Scholar B category of SJTU in 2012. He was awarded Class A of Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Star in 2014.
In recent years, 150+ SCI/EI index papers have been published in domestic and foreign journals and conferences, including 49 SCI index papers, more than 20 IEEE TRANSACTIONS papers, 200+ SCI citations, and 1,400+ google scholar citations. He has published more than 20 papers in ICRA and IROS. Twenty-seven national invention patents have been authorized, in which one has been transferred, and seven have been published.
As project leader, Professor Wang chaired the National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Fund, Joint Fund Key Projects, Youth Fund, General Projects, Special Subprojects of the ITER Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, International Cooperation Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Doctoral Fund of the Ministry of Education and Shanghai Municipal Natural Science Foundation and many other projects. As the main member of the project, he participated in many projects including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the special project of the ITER program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the 863 key project, the Hong Kong Research Fund, the school medical research cooperation fund, and corporate projects.
He served as the Program Chair of the 2014 International Conference on Robotics and Bionics (IEEE ROBIO2014), and the General Chair of the 2016 International Conference on Real-Time Computing and Robotics (IEEE RCAR2016), and served as chairman of the conference program of the 2019 International Advanced Intelligence of the electromechanical system (IEEE AIM2019). He was chairman of many international conference organizing committees including IEEE ROBIO2009, IEEE ICRA2011, IEEE NANO2013, IEEE ROBIO2015, IEEE SII2016, etc. He is currently the Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Robotics (SCI), Assembly Automation (SCI), International Journal of Humanoid Robotics (SCI) and Robotics and Biomimetics, and Associate Editor of the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Conference Editorial Board. He has served as the guest editor of Mathematical Problems in Engineering (SCI), International Journal of Advanced Robotic Systems (SCI) and Journal of Applied Mathematics. Now he is a senior member of IEEE.
Prof. Xiuxian Li (IEEE Senior Member)

Biography:
Dr. Li received the B.S. degree in mathematics and applied mathematics and the M.S. degree in pure mathematics (number theory under the supervision of Prof. Jianya Liu) from Shandong University, China, in 2009 and 2012, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, in 2016, under the supervision of Prof. Michael Z. Q. Chen and Prof. James Lam. From 2016 to 2020, he has been a research fellow with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, working with Prof. Lihua Xie, and a senior research associate with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, working with Prof. Gary Feng. In 2020, he joined the Department of Control Science & Engineering, Tongji University, Shanghai, China, where he has been a full professor since 2022. He held a visit to the group of Prof. Peter Richtárik at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia, in September 2019. He was finalist for the best paper award at the 2018 IEEE International Conference on Real-time Computing and Robotics, and the recipient of best paper award at CCSICC 2023.
