Assoc. Prof. Zhijun Zhang 

(IEEE Senior Member, IEEE CIS Guangzhou Chapter Chair)

Biography:

Zhijun Zhang, Ph.D. & Associate Professor, is a high-level talent at South China University of Technology (SCUT), a Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Youth Scholar, and a top talent in Guangdong Province's scientific and technological innovation. Before joining SCUT, Dr. Zhang worked as a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University. His main research interests include robotics, neural networks, machine learning, virtual reality, and human-computer interaction.

Dr. Zhang has published over 60 papers in journals and conferences, including 16 in IEEE Transactions. He has authored or contributed to two English books/chapters and has filed over 30 invention patents, with 7 granted national patents. He has received one Best Paper Award at an international conference and a nomination for the Best Poster Award at the Chinese Control Conference (CCC). He currently serves as an associate editor for two international journals and as a reviewer for over 20 international journals. Dr. Zhang has led one project funded by the National Youth Fund, one project under the Guangdong Provincial Outstanding Youth Scholar program, one project within the Guangzhou Science and Technology Plan, and has participated in one international project and several horizontal projects.

Prof. Jianbin Xiong (IEEE Senior Member)

Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, China

Biography:

Jianbin Xiong, Ph.D., holds the position of professor and master's supervisor. Prof. Xiong is acknowledged as a prominent talent developed through the Guangdong Province Yangfan Plan (Talent Development Support Program for Eastern and Northwestern Regions of Guangdong Province) Training Program. Currently, Prof. Xiong serves as the Vice Dean of the School of Automation at Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University. Prof. Xiong is a committee member of the IEEE, China Computer Federation, and the Youth Work Committee of the China Automation Society. Prof. Xiong is also a supervisor of the Guangdong Computer Society, a member of the Guangdong Automation Society, a committee member of the Big Data Special Committee of the Computer Academy of Guangdong, and the Internet of Things Special Committee of the Computer Academy of Guangdong. Prof. Xiong holds the position of reviewer for various international journals, such as IEEE TIE, IEEE TII, IEEE TIM, IEEE Systems Journal, Information Fusion, IEEE Sensors Journal, and the Asian Journal of Control, among others.

Prof. Xiong's research interests encompass composite fault diagnosis, intelligent data fusion utilizing multiple sensors, big data, and artificial intelligence, among other related fields. Prof. Xiong has presided over two top-level projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, participated in two top-level projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China as a key member, presided over two projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province, and presided over more than 10 other scientific research projects at the provincial level. Prof. Xiong has authored 55 academic publications, which comprise over 30 papers indexed in the SCI, and one was acknowledged as highly cited by the ESI. Prof. Xiong has filed for eight invention patents, of which five have been authorized. Additionally, Prof. Xiong successfully registered eight software copyrights and has received the second prize for the Excellent Paper Award from the Guangdong Provincial Computer Society on three occasions. Prof. Xiong's research titled 'Petrochemical Equipment Intelligent Safety Monitoring Key Technology and Application' was awarded the second prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Progress Award in 2017. Prof. Xiong's work titled 'Immunity Detection Technology and Application for Network Anomaly and Intrusion' was awarded the third prize in the Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2015, as well as both the first and third prizes in the Maoming City Science and Technology Award.

Prof. Baoquan Li (IEEE Member)

Tiangong University, China

Biography:

Baoquan Li is Professor of School of Control Science and Engineering in Tiangong University, with Tianjin Key Laboratory of Autonomous Intelligence Technology and Systems. His research focuses on mobile robots, unmanned aerial vehicle, computer vision, nonlinear control. He was awarded the 2nd Level Candidate for Innovative Talent Project Award of Tianjin City, and Young Innovative Talent Award within Universities of Tianjin City. He received his B.Eng. degree and Ph.D. degree from Nankai University in 2010 and 2015, respectively, and was a joint Ph.D. student with Nanyang Technological University awarded by China Scholarship Council. He has published papers in journals of TCYB、TIE、TMECH、TCST, and he is section chair and program committee member for some conferences such as RCAR, CYBER, ICCA, ICVS, and ICONIP.
